Scatman John - Scatman (Ski-Ba-Bop-Ba-Dop-Bop)
John Paul Larkin, (El Monte, California, March 13, 1942 - Los Angeles, December 3, 1999), better known as Scatman John (sometimes attributed to John Scatman internationally), was a jazz musician who created a fusion single scat singing and techno, best known for his 1994 hit "Scatman (Ski-Ba-Bop-Ba-Dop-Bop)". As he used to say, this was a process of "turning my biggest problem into my biggest support." He sold millions of records worldwide and was also named "Best New Artist" at the Echo Awards in Japan and Germany. He was recipient of the Annie Glenn Award of the American Speech-Language-Hearing by its excellent services rendered to the community gaga, and was included in the Hall of Fame of the National Association of Stutterers. He died at 57 years of age because of lung cancer.
